FPT – Fluid Power Technology has designed and manufactured some special hydraulic nuts to meet customer tensioning requirements.

Hydraulic nuts are used in all those applications where it is not possible to use a mechanical nut due to the need for continuous maintenance operations or for the heat or vibrations to which the nuts are subjected. They replace the traditional mechanical nuts and ring nuts, guaranteeing superior and controlled tightening values, they are made according to the dimensions and the strength required by the user.

The technical requirement of the special hydraulic nuts was to meet very small dimensions, having a M150X3 thread, 5830 kN force at a working pressure of 2275 bar. The hydraulic nuts should also have a maximum stroke of 12 mm.
