The Istanbul Metro, İstanbul Metrosu, is a rapid transit rail network, which serves the city of Istanbul in Turkey. The current line includes 73 service stations and there are another 71 under construction. The system is currently composed of five lines called M1, M2, M3, M4, and M6 Mini-Metro. More lines are under construction or planned: M5 (Üsküdar-Çekmeköy / Sancaktepe), M8 (Bostanci-Dudullu) will be on the Asian side, while M7 (Kabataş-Mahmutbey), M9 (Ataköy-İkitelli) will be on the European side.

FPT Fluid Power Technology has worked on the project to assemble the tunnel boring machine, TBM, which is a machine used to excavate tunnels. The cylinders used for the assembly of the machine are the hydraulic jacks FPT model CRI100 / 330 -100 ton and 330 mm stroke actuated by a hydraulic pump unit with electric motor and very high pressure 700 bar
