The lifting operation took place on the A-11 Viareggio–Lucca–Florence Highway on the Montramito Viaduct.

The hydraulic cylinders used were the CSE290/45GS-TU-TA model, 290-ton gravity-return hydraulic cylinders with a 45-meter stroke, featuring a mechanical safety lock and a reduced height specifically designed to allow operation in confined spaces. Additionally, an FPT electric power unit and associated hoses and manifolds were used to operate the jacks.
