Electric high flow pump

FPT-TPU Series

  • The FPT-TPU model is the ideal solution for operating high-tonnage jacks requiring large oil volumes or multiple jacks, where high flow rates and fast operation are essential during lifting, lowering, and skidding or horizontal shifting.
  • The three-phase electric motor is inverter-driven, with a speed range from 200 to 2000 rpm. This allows the operator to precisely control the operating speed, enabling both slow and fast movements according to application requirements.
  • The pump is designed to reach a maximum working pressure of 700 bar and features two operating stages: a low-pressure stage from 2.2 to 22 l/min (0–175 bar) and a high-pressure stage from 0.55 to 5.5 l/min (175–700 bar). The low pressure stage can be excluded via pushbutton.
  • The 135-liter oil tank capacity allows the pump to be used with large-size actuators.
  • Equipped with a robust protective cage and electrical control panel.

Ideal hydraulic unit for high-tonnage cylinders with fast and precise operation
The FPT-TPU model is specifically engineered as the ideal solution for operating high-tonnage hydraulic cylinders, particularly in applications requiring the displacement of large oil volumes. Its design makes it especially suitable for heavy-duty lifting, positioning, and load-handling operations where high force, reliability, and continuous performance are essential. Thanks to its high flow capacity and robust configuration, the unit ensures efficient and controlled operation even when managing multiple high-capacity cylinders or large-size actuators, delivering consistent performance under demanding working conditions.

Variable speed control via VFD
The three-phase electric motor is controlled by a variable frequency drive (VFD), which enables continuous and highly precise speed regulation through frequency and voltage modulation over an operating range from 200 to 2000 rpm. This configuration ensures optimized motor performance, improved energy efficiency, and reduced mechanical stress during operation. The inverter-driven system provides the operator with full control over the motor speed, allowing accurate adjustment of the pump flow rate in accordance with specific application requirements. This results in smooth acceleration and deceleration profiles, minimizing pressure peaks and ensuring stable and controlled hydraulic performance. The system allows operation at low speeds for applications requiring high precision and fine positioning, as well as at higher speeds for applications where reduced cycle times and increased productivity are critical. The VFD control also contributes to enhanced system responsiveness and repeatability, ensuring consistent performance under variable load conditions. Overall, the integration of VFD technology guarantees maximum operational flexibility, precise flow control, and improved reliability of the hydraulic system.

Procedure
The power unit must be calibrated before use according to specific requirements. In no-load condition, verify the set of target pressure 2-3 times. This is very important to avoid undesired over-pressures on the hydraulic cylinder.

Operations
Heavy-duty operations involve a certain degree of system inertia; it is recommended to avoid rapid or abrupt increases in flow rate and pressure.

Pressure read-out
Such pumps are equipped with nr.3 pressure gauges mounted on the protection frame: thus, the read-out of pressure on lines A, P, B is provided.
