3000 ton Cylinders at 700 bar: now we can produce them

New Lathe at FPT

FPT Fluid Power Technology continues to invest in a production process carried out entirely within its own facility to ensure the highest quality for its products and equipment.

We have expanded our machine fleet with a new Tacchi lathe, a leading brand in the general machinery, marine, and oil & gas sectors. This is a 4-axis CNC lathe equipped with turning, milling, and final grinding capabilities. The maximum turnable diameter is 1000 mm, with a center-to-center length of 6000 mm and a maximum workpiece weight of 20,000 kg. It features 4 continuous axes, including the spindle’s C-axis.

FPT is expanding its production capacity for the manufacture of high-pressure, heavy-duty cylinders up to 3,000 tons at 700 bar pressure. In addition to large-diameter marine propulsion shafts, turbine rotors, servo motor cylinders, and many other precision mechanical components.

The new lathe joins our machine tool fleet, which includes a DMG Mori Seiki horizontal milling center with a 100-tool magazine and 4 axes, a Mandelli ISO 40 horizontal milling center with 4 axes, a Haas vertical milling center with 3 axes, and about a dozen horizontal lathes with turrets.
